During your internship at Arup, you’ll have the chance towork with some of the most highly respected engineers and specialists in theworld. You’ll also get the opportunity to work on exciting and significantprojects, delivering quality work that has a positive and lasting influence onthe community and the environment.

As an Architecture Intern, you will work on defined tasks inFacades and acoustic design under close supervision with a senior engineerincluding: 

  • Assisting with projects focused on thestructural use of glass and energy modelling
  • Producing technical detail sketches for ouron-going projects
  • Assisting with projects focused on curtain walldesign
  • Performing technical reviews of shop drawingsand calculations to ensure air, water, thermal, seismic, acoustic andstructural performance
  • Techniques associated with construction andfacades design activities
  • Working towards a Bachelor Degree inArchitecture
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Sound knowledge of Architecture fundamentals
  • Technical writing
  • Professional demeanor
  • Good communication skills essential forteam-based working
  • Excellent planning and organization skillsrequired for our fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive and willingto take on new challenges 
  • Proficient with Architecture design
  • Fluency in 3D CAD software
  • Fluency in Rhino software
  • Technical editing
  • Evidence of past internship or extracurricularactivity in the field
  • Proven ability to perform in a deadline drivenenvironment
  • Past history of technical presentations andtechnical writing
  • Evidence of personal investment in academic orextracurricular field
