Civil / Structural Drafter

Due to the growth of our business and an expanded portfolio of projects, an exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Civil Structural Drafter to join our team.
As part of the Civil Structural team your primary focus in conjunction with other members of the team, will be the development of the Civil Structures team’s capability, and consequential business growth, in the area of civil structures design.  
The Civil Structural Drafter will undertake the development of drawing documentation for a wide variety of projects under direction of Project Managers and Infrastructure CAD Leader. You will also be responsible for:
  • The review and supervision of less experienced and trainee drafters with the Civil Structures team generally.
  • Providing technical input on total project delivery for a broad range projects within the civil structures team.
  • Liaising with other groups within the Adelaide Office, throughout Australia or internationally as required.
  • Collaborating on similar projects undertaken by other Arup offices within Australia and internationally.
Key Skills & Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-8 years experience in a similar role at an engineering consultancy.
  • Minimum Associate Diploma qualification in the civil engineering field.
  • Experience in software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit and ProjectWise.
You will possess demonstrated excellent attention to detail along with high-level verbal and written communication skills.  Additionally, you will have proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.  The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. 
Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership will be highly regarded.
