Digital Transformation Intern

Our Toronto office is currently seeking a Digital Transformation Intern to join our team in Fall 2018. As part of our digital transformation efforts, you will work on and with:

 

  • a wide variety of full stack frameworks

  • open-source projects and rapid prototyping

  • supporting digital transformation projects and products within the Toronto office

  • partnering with internal end-users, learning their needs and supporting their business processes through the development of software tools, training and/or workflows restructure 

  • communicating complex information and processes simply

     

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures, as well as an interest in statistical analysis and Big Data

  • Interested in connecting digital and physical environments

  • Agile enough to jump into projects and be comfortable in exploring multiple possibilities before landing on a specific solution

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Familiar with front-end and back-end frameworks

  • Demonstrated ability in one or more of the following areas:

    • JavaScript, Python, Bootstrap, JQuery, TypeScript, C#

    • Version Control: Git, Subversion

    • One or more Frontend MVC frameworks such as AngularJS, React

    • Consuming REST APIs from frameworks using NodeJS, Django RF

    • Working knowledge of relational (e.g. SQL, PostgreSQL) databases                                

 

Bonus Points:

  • If you get involved in your student associations/clubs, build at hackathons or contribute to open source projects

  • If you have worked with software typical to Engineering or Architectural industry (Revit, Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, various BIM interfaces)

  • If you have worked with electronics and micro-controllers prototyping (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and have an interest in IoT
