Arup's San Francisco Office is seeking a Façade Engineer to join our growing facades team.

 
In this role, you will be responsible for:
 
  • Coordinating with multiple disciplines and working in conjunction with project managers to help complete assigned tasks and advance a holistic design outcome

  • Writing reports for internal and external audiences based on findings

  • Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences

  • Understanding trends and best practices in the facades and glass industry

  • Assisting senior staff with day to day management of façade projects

  • Overseeing junior staff on a variety of project related tasks

  • Carrying out project related analysis and design

  • Participating in local professional associations

The Qualified Professional will have:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture/engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in facades fundamentals  
  • The ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, manage deadlines and exceptional organization skills required for our rapidly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
  • Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
