Best known for our work on The Broad, LA Memorial Coliseum, Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor, Delta Terminal at LAX, Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center, LA Green New Deal, and The Long Beach Convention Center, we focus on buildings, energy, and transportation, with expectations for significant growth in each of these markets.

About the role:

Arup is looking for an experienced Marketing Assistant in our vibrant and growing downtown Los Angeles office. The Marketing Assistant is a hands-on role, actively delivering on elements of proposals, collateral, and events. The role includes:

• Assisting in the preparation of materials for submittals, requests for information and proposals
• Assisting in the preparation of qualification packages, tailoring resumes and proposal responses, including forms and specialized documents.
• Updating marketing materials, including project sheets, resumes and other collateral
• Updating our client relationship management system and other databases

• Assisting and coordinating events, seminars, and conferences 

Our marketing professionals work in a collaborative and energetic environment to support each other and senior staff locally, and across our Americas region, in their ongoing marketing, business development and communication activities. As you help drive quality growth in Texas, you will serve as a critical connection between regional, global, and local strategies, collaborating with the 50-person marketing and communications team in Arup's Americas region.

Desired Qualifications 

You have strong communication, writing, and organizational skills. You have a bachelor's degree and excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills. Ideally, you bring at least one year of experience as a marketing professional in the A/E/C industry, or perhaps in another service industry. You have excellent time management skills, strong written English language skills, and exceptional attention to detail. 

Your positive, confident and professional attitude is as important as any specific skills you might bring to this role. You have a steady hand, you have composure under pressure, can gain the confidence of senior leaders, recognize where you can contribute meaningfully, and take pride in a job well done, whatever that job might be on any given day. 

You have some experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, especially InDesign, Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. It would be great if you have experience with Microsoft CRM, but we will train you on this powerful system at the heart of our marketing program. Involvement with local marketing and or A/E/C organizations a plus.
