Our Chicago Office is currently seeking a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting senior staff on a variety of projects such as high rise towers and mixed-use developments.
• Designing plumbing and fire protection systems for small to medium sized projects, such as tenant improvement projects.
• Documenting any engineering analysis work, including code research, load calculations and equipment sizing, in a clear manner.
• Editing of discipline specifications documents.
• Documenting systems design in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinating with multiple disciplines and working in conjunction with project managers to help complete assigned tasks
• Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
• Understanding trends and best practices in the discipline and industry for systems such as rainwater collection, water re-use systems, and solar hot water generation.
• Participating in local Professional Associations

The Qualified Professional will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Engineering Fundamentals
• AutoCAD and Revit drafting experience, Revit preferred
• The ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, manage deadlines and exceptional organization skills required for our rapidly changing environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
• Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
