Due to growth, we are currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to lead and contribute to our current multi-disciplinary team in Washington, DC. You would be helping mentor our junior staff, help with growing the structural practice in the DC market through BD activities, and lead the technical delivery of current projects. Our client base serves a wide range of both public and projects. Industries that we serve include; Higher Education, Laboratories, Transportation, Government, Commercial, and Science & Technology.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them
• Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines
• Manage numerous projects and staff as needed
• Take on commercial/financial responsibilities for projects
• Participate in Business Development activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor and Master Degrees in Civil/Structural Engineering
• PE or SE licensed
• 6+ years of professional work experience
• Strong communication skills essential for team-based working
• Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
• Post-tensioned concrete experience would be a plus
• Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
